ANNUAL SPRING CLEAN-UP!!
Saturday and Sunday, April 22nd & 23rd
at McGowan Park from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and from 9:00 am on Sunday until all three dumpsters are full, or 4:00 pm, which is first to occur.
rules are simple: only one (1) load per lot will be allowed until 12:00 noon on Sunday. if the dumpsters are not yet full at that time, then any lot – on a first come basis – may bring another load until all 3 dumpsters are filled.
at the time rubbish is brought, everyone will need to check in and give their lot number or their address as identification. All lot numbers (or addresses) will be checked. Only community members may participate.
you may not bring household garbage (food waste, etc.), yard waste, animal waste, tires, car batteries, microwaves, TVs or any electrical appliances, computers, printers or fax machines, or paint cans (unless the cans are dried out), or any type of accelerants. Rubbish will be checked so if you have any questions please check with the attendants before unloading.
there will be a separate trailer for all metal items (i.e. appliances, lawn mowers, etc.).
Please Note: You do not need to be current in your assessments in order to come to the Clean Up, and if you KNOW A member who has rubbish, but is unable to bring it due to medical issues or lack of a vehicle, please call Ed Nielsen [884-2713] prior to the clean-up so we can try and make pickup arrangements.

and speaking of clean up
The saga continues in our quest to eradicate garbage, unlicensed or inoperable vehicles, garbage, trailers (campers, 5th wheelers) that violate our protective covenants & restrictions, etc. from our community’s roads, properties and parks. These eye sights lower our property values, as well as our image.
unlicensed/inoperable vehicles, trailers, campers & 5th wheelers, and garbage accumulated on lots falls under the direction of the Compliance Committee, and in some cases, the Architecture Committee. the non-compliant properties are sent a notice and the property owner given 30 days to clean up their property or make arrangements with their liaison to clean it up.
If the property isn’t cleaned up (or arrangements made) the Compliance Committee takes the matter to the Board for approval to fine the property owner $100 per month, per issue (and per car) until the property is cleaned up. FYI: the fine for having a 2nd dwelling on your property is $500 per month per dwelling.
Smaller garbage issues also plague us!! Garbage, bottles, cans, fast food wrappers, etc. gather on lawns, roads and in the culverts. Property owners are responsible for the 25’ in front of their home – beginning at the center of the road. Please clean up!

Don’t Tamper with Water Meters
Do not turn the water on/off at the water meters. No one has the right or authority to do so! IF you need the water off, please use the shut off valve in or at your home.
If you need to utilize the water meter itself you must first call DAVE TYLER at 253-884-9951. He will either do it or give you permission.
Under the terms of the Patriot Act, it’s a federal offense to tamper with a water system. Additionally, there’s a hefty fine assessed by Lake of the Woods if you do.
A CRITICAL REMINDER: If you are planning on changing, remodeling, building or moving a home, shop, shed, storage unit, carport, garage or fence on your property you must FIRST get approval from the Architecture Committee regardless of whether or not you have a building permit! If you don’t you are at risk for having to remove the non-compliant work or item and/or being assessed a monthly fine until you have approval.
