2021 IS BEAUTIFICATION YEAR IN LAKE OF THE WOODS

The saga continues in our quest to eradicate from our roads, properties and parks those things that violate our Protective Covenants & Restrictions, etc.  These include garbage, unlicensed and/or inoperable vehicles, trailers (campers, 5th wheelers), and animal waste.  These eye sores lower our property values, as well as our image.  In 2021 compliance will be more rigorously pursued.

unlicensed/inoperable vehicles, trailers, campers & 5th wheelers, and garbage accumulated on lots falls under the direction of the Compliance Committee, and in some cases, the Architecture Committee.  the non-compliant properties are sent a notice and the property owner is given 30 days to clean up their property.

If the property isn’t cleaned up the Compliance Committee may take the matter to the Board for approval to fine the property owner $100 per month, per issue (and per car).  This fine is in effect until the property is in compliance.  [FYI:  the fine for having a 2nd dwelling on your property is $500 per month per dwelling.]

Smaller garbage issues also plague us!!  Garbage, bottles, cans, fast food wrappers, etc. gather on lawns, roads and in the culverts.  Property owners are responsible for the 25’ in front of their home – beginning at the center of the road.  Please clean up!

Do Not Tamper with Water Meters

Do not turn the water on/off at the water meters. IF you need the water off, please use the shut off valve in or at your home.

If you do need to utilize the water meter itself first call DAVE TYLER at 253-732-3683.  He will either do it or give you permission.

Per the Patriot Act, it’s a federal offense to tamper with a water system and there is a substantial fine assessed by Lake of the Woods if you do.
